Parent & Tot Program

City The Parent and Tot Program (6 months - 3 years old)
The program is a structured class designed for both parents and the toddlers aged 6 months to 3 years old. The aim is to provide a supportive environment where parents can bond with the child while engaging in fun and educational activities that promote early childhood development.

Island Sunday Parent and Tot Program (6 months - 3 years old)

SCHEDULE:  Sundays (30 min) 9:45 AM - 10:15 AM
DATES:   July 7, 14, 21, 28, and August 11   (5 sessions)*
                *no lesson on August 4 
COST:     
$130 for Members   
               $169 for Non-members


 

Certifications

Bronze Medallion / Emergency CPR B

Must be at least 13 years of age, or have successfully completed Bronze Star. The cost includes a Canadian Lifesaving Manual and certification fee.

Bronze Medallion teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water-rescue education –judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness. Rescuers learn tows and carries, and defense methods and releases in preparation for challenging rescues of increased risk involving conscious and unconscious victims of various types. Bronze Medallion is recognized as the waterfront supervisory certification for Ontario's Recreational Camp Regulation 568.

Bronze Cross/ Standard First Aid

Must have successfully completed Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid with CPR B. The cost includes the certification fee.

Bronze Cross is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training including an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities. Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for all advanced training programs including National Lifeguard and Instructor certification. Bronze Cross is recognized as an assistant lifeguard certificate in Ontario Regulation 565 governing public swimming pools.

Group Lessons

YOUTH SWIM FIT
 Requirement: To participate the group lesson (Youth Swim Fit), the child needs to be at least 7 years old or has completed the level of the Swimmer 5 of Lifesaving Society.
(Their front and back crawl have been refined over 50 m swims of each, and breaststroke over 25 m).

3 Minimum /4 Maximum participants
